Wild Carrot
The second drawing is pen and ink sketch of wild carrot that was growing in the weed patch beside our house. I identified it with the seek app on my cell phone.
Double Acorn Cupule
Two recent nature journal drawings in pen and ink. The first one is a double acorn cupule that I found with my granddaughter on a recent trip to Lake Wallenpaupak in the Poconos, in northeastern Pennsylvania. We were watching the deer in the backyard of our weekend cabin. The deer were very people-friendly, so were able to watch them eating and grazing for a long time.
