I haven’t sketched outside since mid-summer and the weather today was perfect for it. I met up with my sketching group in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to do some architectural street sketching. There was a nice little park near our meeting place that was across the street from a bank. I thought the bank might be interesting to sketch, as it had a few colonial style elements and a clock on one corner. I chose to use my uniball vision pen for the inking and my old watercolor palette. I had a little trouble getting the right colors for parts of the sketch, like the roof and the signage. My wonky little sketch is below.
